WiLAT is a women’s forum under CILT — The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. CILT is a professional organization in the fields of supply chain, logistics, and transportation.
As the parent organization, CILT was established in the United Kingdom in 1919 and now brings together more than 30,000 members across 40 countries worldwide. Its members include practitioners, business owners, academics, students, and policymakers in the supply chain, logistics, and transportation sectors.
WiLAT was initiated by Hajah Aisha Ali Ibrahim FCILT from Nigeria in 2010. Since its global launch in Sri Lanka in 2013, WiLAT has grown rapidly, with 3,870 members across 40 countries worldwide and continues to expand.
WiLAT was established in Indonesia on March 8, 2021, and was officially inaugurated in Jakarta, with Mrs. Juliana Sofhia Damu, FCILT, serving as the first Chairperson and Founding Chair. She was succeeded by Mrs. Nurmaria Sarosa, CMILT, who currently serves as the Chairperson of WiLAT Indonesia.
WiLAT’s vision is to be at the forefront of advocacy and empowerment for women in the logistics and transportation sectors.
WiLAT’s mission is to promote logistics and transportation among women and to encourage and support their career development.
WiLAT’s activities are centered around 4+1 main pillars: leadership, entrepreneurship, mentorship, empowerment, and CSR.
